My Geometry Map - Little Red Riding Hood

This is my map about what Little Red Riding Hood did to get to her grandmothers house. I knew that she picked flowers and strawberries. Then she went out the gate finding wild roses. 

My first day at camp! :)

Today was the best! It was my first time at camp, we did kayaking! I went kayaking when I was little.

I went in a double seated kayak and a single seated kayak. The first one I went in was the double seated kayak with Trinity, then I went on the single one which I almost fell out of!!!

I was doing one side and my paddle fell in the water as I was turning but I grabbed it just before I was about to fall!! I was scared but luckily I didn't fall out of the kayak.... That would of been way to scary... What if there were sharks?! What if I drowned?! Now that makes me scared! I'm lucky I got to go kayaking though! It was amazing.

I couldn't wait until we went. I do miss my family but I will see them on Friday! I do miss them alot, I can't sleep with my favourite teddy either, we aren't aloud to bring toys along.....

Which makes me sad... I'll be better when its the next day don't worry. Soon I'll be doing lots more, soon we are going to the G.I. Pools to have a swim then take a shower which will annoy me because when I get my top on after the shower well... It's hard to get it untangled... So all I do is either pick another shirt or else I'll just try to untangle it.

Today I planted a sunflower

Today I planted a sunflower seed. It was very tiny it looked like I couldn't see it, but I could. My job is to keep it inside but sunshine shining down on it, I am not aloud to give it water or put it outside.

Statistical Investigation

I am learning about data and weather. My one is about 'Is Wellington the hottest in New Zealand this week?' My Countries I am using is Auckland, Palmerston North and of course Wellington.

We have been reading about a Hauhake Harakeke ceremony. This is one thing that the children in the story made from the flax blades.

The Life Cycle of a Monarch Butterfly

This is about the life cycle of a Monarch butterfly.  The life cycle starts as a tiny egg changes through different stages, turns inside out and becomes a butterfly.

The egg

The life-cycle begins with the female butterfly attaching the egg near to a milk weed plant.  She lays it there so when it turns into a caterpillar it has something to eat. The egg is tiny, round and has ribs. The female butterfly sticks the egg on the leaf tightly so that it doesn't fall off.

Caterpillar

When the egg hatches it would eat the milk weed plant. As the Caterpillar eats it grows bigger and bigger then the Caterpillar

The Chrysalis

The Caterpillar inside the Chrysalis is changing its body into a
Butterfly. The Chrysalis starts from the colour green, and changes to the butterflies body colour, black.

The Monarch Butterfly

The Monarch Butterfly lays little, tiny white eggs, Which is the baby caterpillar. If the monarch butterfly has 2 dots on its lower wings, It means it is a male butterfly.
